One arrest, two cases
A DUI arrest usually starts a criminal case in court and a separate license case with your state's motor vehicle agency. The license case moves first and has its own short deadline.
Refused the test?
Refusing a breath or blood test usually brings its own suspension: 1 year for a first refusal in California and Florida, 180 days in Texas, and a 1-year CDL disqualification for commercial drivers (California DMV: Driving under the influence, Florida Statutes §322.2615, Texas Transportation Code §724.035, 49 CFR §383.51 (CDL disqualifications)).
